We will not forget

The Bullcreek Leeming Amateur Football Club and wider community are in mourning after the loss of the much loved Kyle Thomas over the weekend.

Affectionately known around the Club as "Durst", Kyle was placed in an induced coma on Saturday evening after suffering a heavy collision during the last quarter of the E1 Grand Final.

His condition deteriorated and Kyle was then reliant on life support to help him through the night.

After news of his situation filtered back through to the members of the club they all gathered together in early hours of Sunday morning, and through the following day in hope of better news.

Kyles immediate family and girlfriend Hannah, along with a few players of the club and close friends, remained at his side, determined to see him fight his battle.

Sadly the time came to say a final goodbye to Kyle for those who were at his bedside. Kyle Thomas passed away in the early hours of Monday, September 12.

The whole of the Bullcreek Leeming Football Clubs thoughts and wishes are with Kyle's family and friends during these heartfelt moments.

He will be sadly missed around the football club of which he was such a highly thought of person.

Not only was he the Captain of the victorious E1 team on Grand Final Day, his final acts on the football field let him to be awarded the Best on Ground medal on the day.

He was also a valued member of the Committee, working tirelessly behind the scenes and he loved nothing more than to have a few "quiet drinks" during committee meetings.

Kyle was more than just a good player, he was a great friend and a truly sensational Person.

Rest in Peace

Kyle "Durst" Thomas
